I was born into, married into and worked for over twenty years in the fashion industry, yet I trained in Image Consultancy in 2000 because it incorporated for me the two best elements of retail, working in depth with my clients to help them look and feel fantastic and sourcing the clothes that made the difference for them.
What fascinates me most about the job is the diversity of people I work with and the real difference that something as supposedly superficial as appearance can make to self esteem and confidence. My proudest achievements are when clients who have only ever received negativity or indifference about ther appearance, ring and email me after steady streams of compliments, their empowerment and joy is the reason I do this.
My approach is energetic, non - judgmental, humorous, curious and honest. I firmly believe this is a journey of self discovery as when small changes in our perspective and thinking happen huge changes can happen in life.
I have a progressive attitude, am committed to my own personal and professional development and am a Fellow of The Federation of Image Consultants on whose board I sat for three years. I am also a member of and certified by the Association of Image Consultants International in the USA. I regularly attend professional seminars and conferences and have association with image companies around the world. Journalists frequently ask me to comment on image and I have appeared as a stylist on television. In October 2008 I was honored to be the inaugural recipient of The Spirit of Inspiration, 'Image Scholar of the Year' awarded by The Federation of Image Consultants.
Although based in Rickmansworth, I spend the majority of my time in London and the south of England but I'm always happy to travel further afield.
Out of work my passions are my family, my dog, flowers, food, reading and life!
